AIReader (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the AIReader mobile application (the “App”).

A. Content you choose to provide
- Books and documents you import (PDF/EPUB/TXT) are stored locally on your device.
- Selected text, prompts, and instructions you enter for AI features (e.g., explain/translate/summarize/rewrite/article generation).
B. App data stored on device - Reading progress, reading time statistics, favorites, and history.
- App settings (e.g., AI server URL configuration).
C. Network information - The App may display your local IP address for the Wi‑Fi Transfer feature. This is used to show the upload address on the same network and is not required for AI features.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information to:
- Provide reading features (open, display, paginate).
- Provide AI features (send your selected text/prompt to the configured AI server and display results).
- Maintain local features such as library management, favorites, history, and reading statistics.
3. AI Requests and Data Sharing
When you use AI features, the App sends the text/prompt you provided to the configured AI server endpoint (for example, http://www.mingjianhua.com:8000 ).
This transmission is necessary to generate AI outputs. The AI server may process and temporarily log requests for reliability and troubleshooting, depending on server configuration.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
- Local reading data (books, progress, favorites, history, stats) remains on your device unless you delete it.
- AI request data retention depends on the configured AI server’s settings. Please contact the server operator if you need details.
5. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you are concerned about sensitive content, avoid sending it to AI features.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not designed specifically for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided sensitive personal information via AI prompts, please contact us.
7. Your Choices
- You can delete imported books and app data from within the App.
- You can avoid AI features to prevent text/prompt transmission to the AI server.
